Kayraa Turn 1

One Year, One Frame, Forever

Blink, and she’s crawling.
Blink again, she’s gone and grown.
So we pressed pause on a Saturday —
and made this moment her own.

A Year in Her Hands

Twelve months ago, she weighed just three,
a heartbeat wrapped in white.
Now she’s chasing toy balls round the floor,
and laughing at the light.

A paper crown, a pink-bow hat,
a cake she couldn’t eat.
Some cups knocked over, one soft frown,
and two bare tiny feet.

The Ones Who Hold Her

Her mama’s kiss, her sister’s arm,
her papa’s steady grin.
Matching red in checkered rows,
the whole world tucked in.

You won’t remember how she sat
or how tight her sister held.
But one day she’ll ask, “Was I that small?”
and the photo will tell.

Why We Do This

Babies don’t wait for perfect light.
They don’t hold still or pose.
So we follow them, and catch the giggle
just before it goes.

The crawl, the stare, the gummy smile,
the bow that’s slipping down.
These are the frames you’ll want someday,
long after she’s outgrown the crown.

Your Turn

Her first birthday comes just once.
The cake gets eaten, the candles cool.
But a photograph keeps her one year old —
small, and soft, and new.
